Diversity and Fostering Inclusive Learning

Updated: May 9

The latest issue of Odyssey magazine out of Gallaudet's Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center focuses on how we in Deaf Education can foster diversity and inclusive learning with our students who are Deaf. The topics range from Spanish-speaking families and their journey with a child who is Deaf to the often difficult topic of suspension and social justice in a Deaf school (written by myself and my colleague, Todd LaMarr) and conclude with how we can foster diversity and inclusive learning and how embracing diversity empowers us all.
