Writer's picture: Dr. Lisalee D. EgbertDr. Lisalee D. Egbert

This video is a news story from Fox News that demonstrates the benefits of learning American Sign Language for Hearing Babies and Toddlers. I've included this for parents who might be wondering if American Sign Language will help or hinder their child who is Deaf in his / her acquisition of language and spoken language. After years of research it has been shown that the Hearing children who get American Sign Language early in life do much better with their language skills and in school in general.
